My name is Andrea, I am 35 years old.  I live with my husband, Marc and we have a 6 year old daughter called Leah and our 2 year old son Joshua .  My husband is registered with Ofsted as my Assistant, this means he too can care for the children with parents permission.

Our home and garden is non smoking and we ask that this is respected.

We live in a large 4 bed semi detached house with a downstairs bathroom.  We have a very large enclosed garden and live within 5 minutes walk from the town centre.  We have lots of toys both indoors and out, including a bouncy castle!!!!! (weather permitting).  In the garden we have a Little Tikes Activity Cube, water table and large sandpit.  We also have a 12 foot trampoline with safety enclosure.  We have a variety of bikes and scooters to suit all ages.   Weather permitting we have a 12 foot swimming pool.  The children also have their own garden patch where we grow flowers and vegetables, including pumpkins ready for us to carve at Halloween!

We have a designated playroom as well as a quiet room for children wishing to read or watch TV.

Our playroom is full of brightly coloured toys, a lovely wooden dolls house, an array of books to take children off into an adventure, a huge selection of puzzles and games and our beautiful Marine tank which recreates a scene from "Finding Nemo" with live rock, corals and anenomes, and of course Nemo himself!

Upstairs we have an area for younger children and babies to sleep.

We have the added benefit of a huge garden with a great big willow tree! This gives the children great fun to explore. We have a large patio area with bikes, ride-ons, roller skates etc as well as a brand new 2 storey wooden playhouse.

I am OFSTED registered and am fully inspected regularly.  I am qualified by the Red Cross in Early Years First Aid.  Both myself and my husband have enhanced CRB police checks.  I attend regular training and am currently researching special needs. 

I am a Quality Assured childminder to Level 3 (the highest level available).  Quality Assured Childminders are committed to ongoing professional development and training.  These childminders will be working over and above the National Standards.

I am also an NCA Support Childminder, this means I help prospective and newly registered Childminders with the registration process and help them get started with their childminding businesses.  I am here to help them with queries and issues relating to their paperwork, policies, Ofsted guidelines etc

I have attended workshops about  ADHD and Asperger Syndrome.  I am currently researching and studying Asperger Syndrome and Autism in my spare time. I have experience working with children both with Aspergers and ADHD.

I hold a valid Food Hygiene certificate and have attended a workshop in Healthy Eating, enabling me to provide fresh home cooked meals.

I drive a 53 reg 8 seat Fiat Ulysse. I have comprehensive insurance which also covers all children in my car, MOT and breakdown cover.  My car is sign written so you may have seen us out and about!

I am a member of the NCMA (National Childminding Association)

I have full Public Liability Insurance.

I enjoy working with children and accepting them into our home and I aim to make them feel like part of the family.

I work closely with other childminders to ensure I am always able to offer the best care and a reliable service to you and your child.
